Hankering for apples?

In case anyone out there can't wait to get a start on apples this season, we just went out to "Class Apple" south of Eau Claire off of Hwy 37 and got some delicious Paula Reds that are already in season.
Also, for produce that won't be in season next month, we have started canning and freezing from our garden. Has anyone tried freezing salsa instead of cannining it? I am curious as to what will happen.

Yum! Local apples! I had been holding off on eating apples waiting for the first of the local season. I bought a bag of paula reds at the Farmers Market a week and a half ago and they were great! No comparison to the balls of mealy yellow stuff from New Zealand we've called "apples" for the past few months...

Frozen salsa is awesome. You might need to pour off some water after it thaws, but otherwise it will probably taste just like it did when fresh...
